چکیده

this paper shows that the use the optimal topology of an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for a particular application is one of the difficult tasks. Neural Network is optimized by a Genetic Algorithm (GA), in a hybrid technique, to calculate the multiplicity distribution of the charged shower particles on Larger Hadron Collider (LHC). Moreover, ANN, as a machine learning technique, is usually used for modeling physical phenomena by establishing its new function. In case of modeling the p-p interactions at LHC experiments, ANN is used to simulate and predict the distribution, Pn, as a function of the number of charged particles multiplicity, n, the total center of mass energy ( s ), and the pseudo rapidity (). The discovered function, trained on experimental data of LHC, shows good match compared with the other models.

Wounded quark-diquark model predictions for heavy ion collisions at the LHC

The ratios of particle densities in lead-lead and proton-lead collisions to particle density in proton-proton collision in the central rapidity region at the LHC energy are predicted on the basis of wounded quark-diquark model. PACS: 25.75.-q, 25.75.Ag, 21.65.Qr

Exploring the LHC medium with electromagnetic probes

Heavy-ion collisions will enter a new era with the start of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). A first short run with proton-proton collisions at the injection energy of 0.9 TeV will be followed by a longer one with pp collisions at 10 TeV. First Pb-Pb collisions at √ sNN=5.5 TeV will take place in 2009. Three experiments (ALICE, ATLAS, and CMS) will study both pp and Pb-Pb collisions. A sel...

مطالعه تولید منحصر بفرد جفت پایونهای مثبت و منفی در برخوردهای پروتون-پروتون با مرکز جرم 7 ترا الکترون ولت

The exclusive production of charged pions, are reported in the proton-proton collisions, where the π+π- pair is emitted at the central rapidity, y, and the scattered protons stay intact (p) without detection. This measurement is performed with the CMS detector at the LHC, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 450 μb-1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of  7 TeV. Th...

Small–x Physics: From HERA to LHC and beyond

We summarize the lessons learned from studies of hard scattering processes in high–energy electron–proton collisions at HERA and antiproton–proton collisions at the Tevatron, with the aim of predicting new strong interaction phenomena observable in next–generation experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Processes reviewed include inclusive deep–inelastic scattering (DIS) at small x, exc...
